Using Health Centre to enter and manage attendance is typically the best method to cover the duty of care and ensure the details of what occurred is logged. This method does not use SEQTA Kiosk, rather it requires an Attendance solution be entered on the students admittance to sickbay and the attendance to be adjusted once the student is discharged. The steps for this process can be found in the article Recording Sickbay Visits and Incidents Using Health Centre.
Recording Visits to Sickbay Using SEQTA Kiosk
The suitability of using SEQTA Kiosk for sick-bay visits will depend entirely on the school's policies and processes. For assistance with this please contact the School's SEQTA Client Engagement Specialist through the SEQTA Service Desk.
SEQTA Kiosk can be used to record sickbay visits using 'class-based' mode to allow the students TAG IN and TAG OUT themselves. Attendance types created specifically for this purpose can be used if preferred, this can allow for tracking of sick bay visits using Attendance reports at a later point.
SEQTA Kiosk 'class-based' attendance will record the attendance with a priority of 5. Due to this, if staff do not refresh their 'Browser' before taking the roll their attendance can be recorded and overwrite the attendance recorded using SEQTA Kiosk.
Health Centre can still be used to Record the details sickbay visit if required, as this works independent of the attendance and therefore SEQTA Kiosk.
