If there are a large number of resources, tables, or a lot of information in a Legacy module or Classic Portal page, it may be prudent to take a backup to save on your computer in case it needs to be restored at a later point (for example, in case of accidental deletion of data). The steps for these processes are outlined below.
Tip: When working in the editor, should something go awry press <Ctrl>+z several times until everything is back as it should be. This will only work if done just after the data has been edited.
Saving a backup of a Legacy module or Classic Portal page editor
- Navigate to the Legacy module or Classic Portal page
- Click on the HTML editorbutton. This will display the code that formats the content.

- Highlight all the text - keyboard shortcut: <Ctrl>+a
- Copy the text - keyboard shortcut: <Ctrl>+c
- Open Notepad. To to this click on the Windows icon in the bottom-left corner and type 'notepad' (without the quotes. Select Notepad.
- Paste the text into the Notepad <Ctrl>+v

- Click File > Save
- Give the file a helpful name (eg. 7Math Overview) and save it somewhere you can find it
Restoring a snapshot of the Legacy module or Classic Portal page editor
- Open the Notepad file with the snap shot data
- Highlight all the text - keyboard shortcut: <Ctrl>+a
- Copy the text - keyboard shortcut: <Ctrl>+c
- In SEQTA, click on the HTML editor button
- Highlight all the text - keyboard shortcut: <Ctrl>+a
- Press <delete>
- Paste the text back into the Legacy module <Ctrl>+v
- Click Simple editor, or Student/Guardian preview to ensure everything looks as it should
