Creating accounts directly in SEQTA for externally managed staff records

Modified on Thu, 2 Apr at 10:19 AM

Schools that use an external system can still create and manage Staff Records directly in SEQTA . However, this is not recommended as it may result in duplicates if the staff account is then synced into SEQTA (and the staff 'codes' don't match). For this reason, if it is necessary to create a staff record directly in SEQTA, ensure the same code is used in SEQTA as that in the Administration system (this is case sensitive).

Failure to adhere to the steps above, will result in the creation of duplicate staff records due to the differing codes. Consequently these records will need to be merged to prevent any confusion. This service will incur a fee and our team will provide a quote accordingly

Creating a staff account where the staff code in the admin system is not known

If the code is unknown at the time, simply make one up. This is generally only required if the staff record has not been setup in the admin system or is not  active.

When the account is setup in the Admin system, change the code in SEQTA to match. This needs to be done on the same day to prevent a second account bring created.
