Provisioning accounts manually

User accounts only need to be provisioned manually in the following conditions:

  • Internal authentication is enabled
  • User accounts are not managed in Active Directory
  • Usernames are not synced from the school's administration system
  • There is no email address associated with the account

Manually provisioning staff, student and tutor accounts

  1. Go to the Administration workspace > Data Management
  2. Select the applicable user type (ie. staff, student or tutor)
  3. Find the record using the search box, then click on the record to open the edit pane
  4. Type in a username and password
  5. Click Save

Manually provisioning contact accounts

Complete the steps in the article Linking Student Records to Guardian Records (Creating the Student <-> Guardian Link) to find the correct Contact record and enter the 'Username' and 'Password'.

If the username and password is entered in the incorrect Contact record, the parent will be able to log in but will not see any student information.
