When printing Avery Labels from SEQTA Teach, the text should be aligned so that it fits each label correctly. If this is not happening, please work through the checklist below.
- Ensure the report is being opened in a dedicated PDF reader (eg. Adobe Acrobat or Apple Preview) and not the web-browser. To do this, save the PDF, then open it from the saved location.
- Ensure the Label code on the paper matches the code in SEQTA Teach (eg: Avery-L7160)
- Ensure the paper is aligned correctly on the printer.
- Check pages are feeding through correctly.
- Try printing to a different printer
- Ensure the Paper Size is A4 or Avery-x (where 'x' is the label Code). This will typically resolve issues with the label being aligned correctly at the top of the page and gets worse towards the bottom of the page.
- Open the document in a PDF viewer (Acrobat or Preview)
- Select File
- Select Page Setup
- Set the "Paper Size" menu to the desired paper size and save
- Ensure 'scaling' is switched off
- Open the document in a PDF viewer (Acrobat or Preview)
- Select File
- Click on Print - This should open a pop-up menu
- Set the 'Page scaling' option to 'None'
- Ensure the font size chosen is appropriate for the label.
- Check the settings for the printer margins on the actual printer. On some large office printers, this may require IT support.
Customising the Avery labels dimensions
If the above steps do not provide a resolution, the labels report can be customised to set dimensions. When submitting a request, select one of the Avery reports and print on the label paper, then scan the label printout and send it through to the SEQTA Support team via the Help portal.
