What permission is needed to access Data management?

The permission required to view or manage the components in Data Management is DATA: EDIT.

Can we restrict access to selected parts of the Data management list?

No, I'm sorry, that isn't possible.

I searched for all references to English in Subjects, but when I sorted by Description I lost my list

Can user records be deleted from SEQTA?

No, it is not possible to delete user records through the interface. This is to prevent the inadvertent loss of data linked to the person's account.

If there are extenuating circumstances that require deletion of user records, such as deleting test accounts, email authorisation from the School Education Contact is required.

Can we merge records in SEQTA Teach?

It may happen that you need to merge 2 records in the SEQTA Teach database. This is usually due to an incorrect staff or student record that has been synced to SEQTA. The incorrect record will continue to exist even if the source of the error in the admin system has been resolved. Please contact the SEQTA Support team via the Help portal to request that the records are merged. Please advise via the ticket which record will be the valid one going forwards. See also the note below about the OLD_ prefix.

Why is there a prefix of OLD_ in front of the user code?

This indicates the merge script has been run by the SEQTA Service desk to merge data from one record with another. These records can be ignored as they are effectively archived and kept only for record keeping purposes.
