Quantitative Analysis Page - Viewing and Printing Statistical Information

Statistical information and reports can be generated through the Quantitative page. The filters at the top of the page are used to determine the grouping and statistical information to display on screen. Once the required information is displayed on screen it can then be printed as a PDF, or Excel spreadsheet.

  1. Go to the Pastoral Care Workspace > Student Summary > Quantitative Analysis.
  2. Select the applicable student from the drop-down. Alternatively, select a group of students using the ellipsis icon "..."
  3. Set the date range and select the application options (see table below for examples).

  4. Click the Play button to display the data onscreen.
  5. If required click Print or To Excel to generate a file.

Student Macro Analysis for a roll-group.

  • Select Student: only students in the required Roll-group.
  • Group by: Student
  • then by: Type
  • to show: Count

While the graph will not display, this will show the same data as the Student Macro Analysis with the ability to sort by any column in the table.

Analysis of patterns over time for a given year level.

  • Select Student: only students in the desired Year level.
  • Group by: Year level then by Date
  • To show: Count
The data will be displayed in both graph and table form and allows you to identify key times in the year in which certain pastoral care incidents seem to occur the most.

Listing points by house.

  • Select Students: all students in the required Sub-school.
  • Group by: House
  • then by: Type
  • to show: Points
  • Select type: Select only the required pastoral care types

Shows graph and count of points, including total points, for each House.

Find students with poor uniform record for the whole school.

  • Select Students: all student
  • Group by: Student
  • then by: Type
  • to show: Count
  • Select type: select only the 'Uniform pastoral' care type.
    Click on the top of the Uniform column to change the sort order

Shows each student and the number of Uniform issues sorted in descending order enabling quick identification of students with poor uniform record.

Analyse patterns of behaviour across Year levels.

  • Select Student: Do not select any students (all students are therefore included)
  • Group by: Year level
  • then by: Type
  • to show: Count

Displays a graph and table of the count of each pastoral care type for each Year level for the date range selected allowing easy cross referencing of the counts for each Year level.
