Resolutions entered via the Attendance manager page can be made for any date; past, present or future.
Go to the Administration Workspace > Attendance Administration > Attendance Manager
- Select a student or students. To select students by group or cohort (ie: year, roll, student group) click on the ellipsis icon '...', select the group and click OK.
- Note that the number of selected students will be immediately updated in the I want to process 'sentence'.
- Work through the I want to process'sentence', selecting from the drop-down fields as you go.
- Note that the available fields will change depending on selections earlier in the 'sentence'.
- Select the Repeat Pattern (ie: Single day, Repeat multi-day or One contiguous multi-day). One contiguous multi-day applies attendance over a 24 hour or more time period and is rarely applicable.
- Select the Attendance solution Priority. 'Normal priority' (10) is used where no other attendance exists or to overwrite attendance recorded through the Attendance roll page (priority 5). Whereas, 'High (overwrite) priority' (100) is used to overwrite attendance entered at any lower priority.
- Select the attendance type (eg: Education activity, Approved absence, Late).
- Set the start date and time and the end start and time.
- Set the Repeat behaviour if needed for the type of resolution (eg: a regular off-campus activity like work experience).
- Enter the authorisation details.
- Click Save.
- If the attendance covers a wide date range, or many students, a confirmation box will display. Enter the number displayed and click Save.
Once the attendance records have been updated a confirmation dialog will appear. If you want to check a student's attendance through the SIP, click refresh/reload so the change becomes visible.
