Hiding Assessments in the Marks Book in Shared Programmes

Modified on Fri, 27 Mar at 4:57 AM

Assessments can be hidden in the Marks book in shared Programmes by placing them in their own assessment group. Once that has been done, the 'collapse/expand assessment group arrow' in the Marks book can be used to hide the assessments in the group. This is often used for formative assessments in cases where the content or grading is different from one-class to the next.

If this option is used for non-formative assessments, and there are weightings involved, then the weightings may need to be adjusted accordingly.

On the programme 'Cover Page' under 'Edit Marks Book Settings' there is the option to create Assessment groups. Once the groups have been created, the individual assessments can be assigned to the group by editing the assessment through the 'Overview of Assessments'.

Lastly, go into the Marks book, and collapse the groups with the assessments that you do not want to see. Your browser will remember next time you access the Marks book so you need only do this step once.
