Syllabus Warehouse Victorian Curriculum Version 2.0 for Teaching, Reporting

Modified on Thu, 19 Mar at 1:18 AM

Changes 2025.1.3 - Effective 20251006

Reporting set: The code for reporting on Mathematics as a whole has changed from VC2M to VCM2MA. The following link to the reporting codes is the reference:

https://content.sdp.education.vic.gov.au/media/victorian-curriculum-f-10-curriculum-areas-reporting-codes-and-scoring-range-docx-1204

This change will only affect schools that are using the overall Mathematics syllabus item for progression reporting or for CASES21 uploads (our thanks to Horsham College for bringing this to our attention). Please test your school's academic reports ASAP to ensure that everything is working as expected.

Changes 2025.1.2 - Effective 20250702

Reporting set: Details and Strand are now the same text for ALL subjects in this set.

Changes 2025.1.1 - Effective 20250603

Minor change to Strand for Mathematics and English in the Reporting set, so that Details and Strand are the same text, as found in the Teaching companion set.

NB: This may break some academic reports that are currently using 2024.2, depending on what fields are being used by the academic reports. If you are unsure, please set up an untimetabled class, add the new syllabus and some dummy marks, then test your academic reporting. Use the same configuration (Reporting syllabus set or assessment criterion syllabus) and process (CART report or bespoke report). Currently I am only aware of one school in this situation and we have already been in communication with them about this.

Changes 2025.1 - Effective 20250311

The following languages have been added. This version change is for both the Teaching set and the Reporting set.

Korean, Spanish, Modern Greek, Indonesian and German.

Changes 2024.4.1 - Effective 20241217

The Teaching set is for use an an aid to teacher programming. It contains the top-level items and the linked content, as per the published VCAA information.

The Reporting set does not contain any linked content. It does contain some extra items to allow schools to continue their existing process for reporting to VCAA, while the transition to Version 2.0 takes place, and for creation of academic reports. The extra items are a single Mathematics item (in addition to the 6 specialist areas), and English Modes for Speaking and Listening, Writing and Reading and Viewing.

Programme setup for English and Mathematics should include the relevant items from both sets. Once the transition is complete it is expected there will no longer be a need for 2 separate sets.

The Reporting and Teaching versions are separate sets but for consistency will use the same major version numbers.

2024.4.1 is a minor change to 2024.4. The change is to add F-10 and 7-10 to the Language strand descriptions to make it easier for teachers to differentiate between the two sequences for learning a language.
