Changing the Staff Salutation (names) on Academic Reports

Depending on where on the report the staff salutation is to be be displayed, the value might be drawn from a variety of areas. 

Setting the Roll Group/Homeroom, Principal, Year, Campus salutations

These can be changed through the 'Data Management' page by selecting the applicable component

  1. Go to the Administration Workspace > Data Management
  2. Select the relevant component. In general they are mapped onto the report as follows.
    • Rolls = Rollgroup/Homeroom coordinator
    • Campuses = Campus coordinator
    • Sub-schools = Principal
    • Years = Year group coordinator
  3. Use the search box to find the record for update, then click on it to open the edit window.
  4. Select the staff member's name under 'Coordinators'. If the staff salutation needs to be overridden, for example to display multiple staff names, use the 'Coordinator Salutation' field and type the name/names exactly as they should display on reports.
  5. Click Save.

Setting subject teacher salutations

These can be set independently for each class or en masse by email request to the Service desk. Refer to the article Teacher Salutations on Academic reports - Report Salutation bulk update script for more information.

  1. Go to the Teaching Workspace > Timetable > My Classes.
  2. If working on behalf of a teacher, select their name in the top-right corner and if necessary change the date to make the class display.
  3. Click the Class Bridge icon for the class.
  4. Type the name of the teacher in the Report Salutation Field. If there is more then one teacher, type both teachers' names.
  5. Click Save.
