Resolving Kiosk errors and timeouts

The information below may be of help when troubleshooting SEQTA Kiosk errors. Please contact the SEQTA Support team if further assistance is required.

In many cases, a hard reset will resolve issues with the SEQTA Kiosk app not opening or running accordingly. The following Apple information page will assist you to identify the appropriate reset process.

SEQTA Kiosk times out

iPads updated to iOS 12 will experience timeout issues with SEQTA Kiosk version 5 and 6. To resolve this, update the SEQTA Kiosk app to the latest version in the app store using the iPad.

Docket printer fail

If this issue occurs, please update SEQTA Kiosk to the latest version. If the issue continues please review the following Knowledge base article or contact the SEQTA Support team via the portal.

Please do not upgrade using the Apple App store if on iOS 10 on an old iPad. SEQTA Kiosk 6 and above are not supported on iOS 10 and below. If the old version has been accidentally installed, please refer to the article Uninstalling SEQTA Kiosk.

SEQTA Kiosk errors

HTTP 400 - Incorrect KIOSK version.

HTTP 401 - Incorrect password. Go to the Administration workspace>Application settings>Application settings>Kiosk where the password should be saved.

HTTP 405 - URL is not secure. Possibly entered without adding https. eg: - http://seqtateach.yourschool.edu.au

HTTP 404 - URL is incorrect. Possibly missing the forward slash after kiosk at the end of the URL. eg: https://seqtateach.yourschool.edu.au/kiosk

Could not open printer - Incorrect IP address entered or printer is not online on the network (check with your school's IT Support team).
