Notification options when creating a Pastoral care note
The Permission to send Pastoral Care Notifications, both via email or Direqt message, is controlled by the one Permission EMAIL: STAFF.
NOTE: To control whether the notifications in SIP are via Email or Direqt message click on Administration workspace>Application settings, then search for SIP. In the editing pane select Enabled or Disabled for Use direqt messaging for pastoral care alert messages.
Disabling the option for staff to Direqt message other staff
This option cannot be disabled.
Access to the Correspondence Page
The Correspondence Page can be used to send out bulk emails, SMSes and Direqt Messages to all Students, Contacts and Staff. Due to this, schools may limit access to this page to key administration and attendance staff.
Access to the Correspondence logs
Access to the Correspondence logs should be allocated with care as they will include Pastoral Care Notification emails (or Direqt Messages) for Restricted Pastoral Care Notes which may include sensitive information.
