Logging out of SEQTA

The logout button can be found in the bottom left-hand corner in SEQTA Teach, SEQTA Learn, SEQTA Engage and SEQTA Tutor. 

In the case of SAML, depending on how it is set up, users can sign out from SEQTA, or they can also sign out using what's called a federated sign-out, where they will be signed out of all the apps they are signed into using that instance of SAML.

It's important to have school policies in place to ensure that staff and students keep their devices secured and log out as appropriate from shared devices.

If no log out button displays, then the following steps can be used to clear login details from the device.

1. Open SEQTA.
2. Ensure there are no other browser windows open in the background. If there are, close them.
3. Clear the login information from the cache, the knowledge base article Clearing the Cache has steps for the supported browsers.
4. Close the browser, then reopen it. Access SEQTA and ensure that you are not still logged in (i.e. that a login prompt displays).
