Exporting and Importing Programmes

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Programmes can be exported and imported through the 'List of Programmes' page in the Teaching Workspace.

Exported Programmes do not include any student data (i.e. Assessment Results, Reporting Data, Submissions).

The Export tool may be useful to:

  • Transfer Programmes from one SEQTA School to another
  • Save a backup of a Programme
  • Export then import an existing Programme to use for a new class (where the new class has not yet been timetabled)

Exporting Programmes

If multiple Programmes are exported at once the system will produce one ZIP file. When importing them back into SEQTA the system will prompt the user to select which programmes in the ZIP file need to be imported.

  1. Click on Teaching Workspace > List of Programmes.
  2. If the Programme is not visible by default, use filters at the top of the page. These include timetable period, staff, keyword search (use only one word here for the best result).
  3. Check the box on the image for the Programme or click the check-box in the column header to select the whole list.
  4. Click on the 'Export' button found at the top of the page.
  5. Right-click the 'Click Here to Access Your Document' button and choose 'Save Link As'.
  6. Save the file somewhere you can find it and give it a helpful name.

Importing Programmes

  6. If there is more then one Programme in the archive file the system will prompt you to select which files need to be imported.
  7. Select the option 'Exclude Resources From Import' if required.
  8. Click 'OK'.
