Introduction
An Attendance Alert is an indicator that allows staff to see at a glance, whether or not a student has unresolved absences. This indicator appears as a blue dot (icon) next to the student's name in various areas throughout SEQTA.
Any absences entered before the Attendance alert reset date in Application settings, will not trigger an attendance alert. If the date is in the future, then no students will be flagged.
Attendance alerts are updated overnight
The system updates the attendance alerts each night. This means that should an absence be resolved, the icon will not disappear until the next day.
Conditions required to be flagged with attendance alert
A student will be flagged with an Attendance alert if they have any Unresolved absences after the Attendance alert reset date set in Application settings. Additionally, the Attendance type needs to meet the following conditions.
- Not resolved
- Not present
- Not on campus
Changing the Attendance alert reset date
A cut-off period can be set in the Application settings so any unresolved absences prior to the selected date, will not flag a student with an Attendance alert. This is typically done to remove the display of alert icons from the previous calendar year.

- Enter the keywords attendance alerts into the search box in the top-right corner
